Facebook fad

One wishes to pass in examination
But no time to turn pages of the notebook!
Forever busy checking notifications
Requests.. messages and all stories on Facebook;
Such is the craze ...such is the fad
Fb obsession drives people mad!
"What's on your mind?"
What more does one find?
"Friends and people you may know"
Got a friend request
Known or unknown? Accept or ignore?
In haste we accept; just to flaunt a huge friendlist
Without knowing the rest.
Post a picture
Who cares to listen to the boring lecture?
Saw the latest movie or won a bet?
Post share like and comment!
Worry of falling grades? Forget!
Spending hours on fb chat
Who bothers to do the homework?
Is it not that!?
Uploading selfies and changing dp's
When and where the time goes... one hardly knows.
False accounts. .. blocks and pokes,
At times Facebook really chokes!
Expressing guilt, lamenting jilt!
Confessions and frustrations at their hilt!
It hae indeed done much:
Bloods have boiled.
Relations have spoiled.
It has taken even more:
True friendship from the heart's core.
Emotions it has put to knife,
It has made us forget our own life.
